Need second set of keys.

I only have one key and remote fob.
I have ordered a second set from an ebay seller. Question is..I think I can program the second fob to the car, but I believe I cant do so with the key?
Do I need 2 keys, before it is a DIY job?
Can the second key be 'cloned' by a locksmith or is a visit to the dealer required?

The key has a chip in it, it will have to be programed at the dealer, I don't know about the fob, but they have to put the key into the computer to sync it to your car, unless you just want a key to unlock the door.

Any good locksmith will program the new key for you. but if you only have 1 key right now they will have to get the codes from the dealer. will run you about $60 and take about an hour to do.

I had this done a few weeks ago. The total cost was $93.00.
$69.00 was for the Key, the rest was labor (key cut and program) and tax.

You need 2 keys to program. I purchased a third key from Ebay for $20.00 along with programming instructions. I still need to get it cut.
