so I'll just do an oil change at the same time as the R&P lol.. does it just pop out of the steering columb, bolted in? pressed?

1st you will want to lock your steering wheel with the front wheels straight,use a ratchet strap to prevent the steering wheel from moving unless you want to spend another $300 on a clockspring.Then you remove the clamp bolt on the steering shaft at the R&P input and pry the steering shaft up,may take some force.

Make sure the battery is disconnected 1st.

yep to hell with that.. too much can go wrong lol. when parts that cost over 200 dollars are involved, let a shop do it.
