Need Help! About to drive 150 miles and the glass hatch wont close!

Hey everyone Merry Christmas! I am about to drive 150 miles tonight and the glass hatch will not close. Seems to be the bar on the glass isnt going far enough into the locking mechanism to close. There is nothing that I can see that is keeping it from closing. It did this once before but it shut after a few attempts. Now it wont close at all. Please help!!!!

Well I got it fixed for now. I added a washer to each side to make it stick out a bit further and its working. Anyone else have this trouble before?

Did you try any WD40 on the lock?

I was gonna suggest duct tape.
