About a year ago me and the wife picked up our 2003 renagade. Has a lot of miles on it I think but she loves it. We have a four door wrangler as well so we do enjoy our jeeps. Well from the dealership it came with a bad driveshaft we removed it a while back and now Michigan winter is coming so I replaced it. But now when I hit a bump on our dirt road the front left wheel sounds like the suspension is bottoming out. Any idea really what this is and what needs replaced? Also if it needs the suspension I was just thinking buying a suspension lift kit. Just need a little suggestion and info session. Thanks! Sorry for the newbie post

If it has allot of miles on it as you say, then yeah it sounds like a blown Shock.
KJ's use shocks up front, not struts.

Your factory suspension is also worn to a point that if you just replace the shocks they will end up wearing out faster.
Great time to install a new set of Old Man emu coil springs all around and get a lift at the same time!

Check the lift section all the help you need
also measure from the center of your front wheel to bottom of flare and post up results

if you porpoising over bumps and the keeps going up and down after you go over a bump. check if you have a worn shock or struts if so replace it immediately and also check if you have some broken or slipped leaf spring replace as needed. I could suggest some of the Michigan auto repair shops you can visit.

Liberty's don't use leaf springs.
They have coil springs at all four corners.
They also use shocks up front, not struts.
