I had to replace my factory mirror, some crazy driving had mine broke completely off...you have a few screws in the door panel, then you have to pry the door panel off..takes some pretty extreme force, then you will see how to reattach the mirror

Just the glass. You would think that you would be able to just pop it back in place, no?

So if it is just the mirror part (glass) how about either red or black RTV?? Whichever you have handy. I always have some in the garage and have used it on different things.

It's powered. Guess nobody knows. I guess I might use some sort of glue but it seems like there are teeth that are suppose to line up so that it can be popped back it place.

Just glue it back on. You can buy the stuff to glue GLASS on to the plastic at any auto parts store. RTV will not completely work, it has to be an adhesive. Then use masking tape to hold it in place till it dries. I have seen PLENTY of mirror glass replacements in my time, and that's all the auto-glass places do; glue them on.

Good thing the glass didn't break...for 2 reasons- 1.New glass (cost more money than glue.) and 2. 13 years of bad luck...
