This sport KJ had key hole/ lock on driver's side, passenger side and on tailgate as well. (nice feature)
Since they also came with door panel lights for mirror switch etc, I wonder if all of them also came with heated mirrors as well?

While your right that all 2002 KJ's had the key lock on the passenger door and tailgate, so did all 2003+ KJs not equipped with keyless entry. (basically the bottom tier Sport) As for the heated Mirrors I have a 2002 with them (Renegade) and a 2002 without them(Sport) neither my 03 Limited or my 04 Sport came with them though.

I don't know what your talking about with door panel lights for mirror switch though...

Long story..Never noticed before that 3 lock/places ever seen on KJ before..just learned something new. Just finished a 10 hour shift and took a few muscle relaxants, yup me fried, cant lift my arm or type too good either.

Just learned that 02-03s came with the key entry locks at 3 places on KJ; Mine has only one at drivers door. Since most only came with stock non heated mirrors, it may be available more frequently on -02-03s. SO when I hit the wreckers I am after some heated mirrors, just a thought that maybe the 02-03 may have them as standard and may be able to find em then. hope that makes some sense...Want to go to Gary Wreckers ..

I think they have the symbol on the glass. Also have more wires for the plug than the power ones.

Correct all 2002's have them no matter what, so do 03-07 KJs that don't have keyless entry

Maybe they are more common on 2002 but I doubt it. Like i said my 02 Renegade has them, but none of my other KJs do (02 Sport, 02 Sport, 03 Limited, 04 Sport)

I thought all KJs had illuminated mirror switches on the door panel (I know that my 02, 03 and 04 all do)

How can one identify the heated mirror easily.. electrical plug or?

The easiest way is to look at the face of the mirror it will have a small defroster logo in the bottom corner of the glass (looks just like the picture on your rear defroster switch)

My mirror switch is in the dark on my 04, I guess I should see if the wires/switch is pooched You got any illumination Ryan & Jen on your mirror switch?
I think I got illumination on console windows switch though.

There are a few listed in B.C. on car-part.com but you have to look at them individually as they only differentiate Power/Manual/Auto Dim but the descriptions list heated or not on some individually

I installed the set from my 2002 Renegade on my 03 White KJ and then found a set on www.car-part.com and installed them on my wife's 04. I paid $50.00 for the pair.

hmmm My parts list shows that midway though the 2004 model year the part number for the power mirror switch changed so maybe that is when they got rid of the illumination ??

Hmmm, I wouldnt mind having them illuminated, but I never need to adjust my mirrors, so I can live without them Id like to get some heated mirrors! Hey are you going to a junk yard that has some jeep libertys in there?
