This is my gf's 02 4cyl with 75k, It wont go in any gear when the car is running. If i start it in gear it slowly moves forward. Clutch pedal has a weird feel to it half of the travel feels like nothing then towards the bottom is when it starts to feel normal. The system has fluid and has never been serviced, The problem def feels like its in the hydralics. It basiclly feels like the clutch isnt disengauging enough. Any ideas?

I'm sure its almost time to change to clutch but its not causing this. Slave cylinder is very possible. Are there any known problems with the slave, clutch forkn or throwout bearings with these trucks

I had the same problem with my 02 4 ****** when I got it and it turned out to be the dual mass flywheel. Not saying yours is definitely the same but it sounds like you will need to have a guess as i believe the clutch hydraulic system comes as one part. Master cylinder, slave cylinder and pipe already bled from factory and there is no facility to bleed them! Crap idea in my opinion. See if you can see any fluid leaks from anywhere and if not it is a best guess. Replace hydraulic system or rip the clutch out and see what is lurking in there. Good Luck.....:smokin:

I have a 2003 4 cyl 5 speed too.. my clutch is the opposite of yours. I know the Manual trans. has a closed hydraulic system (per owners manual) so if something is wrong there it's a mechanical failure. I have 83k on mine and I can definitely tell it's the original clutch. It's still got life left in it, but I do my very best to baby it on take offs. My guess would be the clutch or slave cylinder.. FYI my clutch doesn't really engage until its halfway or higher from me taking my foot off the clutch
