Guys, I just put my lift on a couple days ago and now my MIL is on. According to the manual, if it stays on, then that means the OBD system is "ready". I'm not really sure what that means. To further confuse me, it says that if the vehicle was recently serviced or had a battery failure or replacement (which would be the same, I'd think, as when I pulled the battery to put the lift in), I may need to do nothing more than drive my vehicle for it to reset.

Anyone out there know more about this? Do I need to do anything special?

I think it is purely coincidence or could be related to the pulling the battery like you said. I don't see how a suspension modification could possibly trigger a malfunction light. I would either bring it in or unhook the battery again and see if it comes back.

Drive it for a little while. If it's nothing too important, the light will go off by itself.

Sounds purely coincidence to me...
