Making curved hose

Has anyone here had success permanently curving a piece of hose? I’m talking specifically about the short section of hose that attaches directly to the PCV valve. It takes a pretty hard 90 degree bend and I’ve been unable to form that curve.

I have some 14mm silicone hose that just won’t retain the shape I need and before I buy something different I was wondering what folks here might have done. There’s going to come a point where it might be cheaper to but the hose if I keep buying the wrong stuff to experiment with.

I recently saw a legit YT video from Royalty Auto Service that used marine grade adhesive shrinktubing to get and set a 90 bend on a Subaru hose.

I have a thread on her titled DIY-PCV-TSB, or something to that effect. It shows how I did it by placing a spring inside the hose so it won't collapse when flexed.

I read that post a couple of times time, but I always thought you were using that spring on the outside of the hose to form it. lol. I've used those to bend copper pipe and just assumed that's what you were doing.

Nerp, inside. Same idea as some radiator hoses to keep them from collapsing.

A strong copper wire into the hose and then apply hot with an air gun then, sink in cold ice water and repeat until you get it done
