I've seen some threads on similar problems but no resolutions. My low beam headlight do not work, 2005 Jeep Liberty sport. Replaced bulbs, fuses, relay, multifunction switch but they still do not work. Took it to the dealer and was told it was the BCM. Is the BCM plug and play? I purchased one online that is the same part number. I've been told it is $500 or more to program.

Have you tired to supply 12 volts to the head light relay output pin on the BCM. If that works, report back and I can help you to build your own headlight actuator set up.

Try putting a ground to pin 86 on the Low Beam Relay....BCM normally supplies this.

Also check fuses 5 and 6 on the inside fuse panel.

BCM needs to be programmed for certain things such as if you want the lights to flash if you use the remote to lock/unlock the doors etc. but should not affect the low beam actions.

You need to download the 2005 KJ Service Manual from the link given above if you do not have it already...the description of how the BCM works is there.

The wiring diagrams are there for you to trace if +12 volts is going to pin 85 of the Low Beam relay and if +12 volts is coming out of the relay when energized.

The Multifunction Switch may be faulty.
