so i live in east pa and the past couple of weeks we have had some cold weather. and recently i have been noticing some wet spot under my jeep. so i pull it in the garage and climb under and it isnt any kind of oil. kinda looks like antifreeze, but not to sure. i have noticed when i squeeze the bottom pipe for the radiator it seems there is some hard stuff in there, not like the top as everything seems to be flowing right......could it be possible that my bottom pipe is frozen and pushing coolent out where i can? now about 2 years or less ago i have the water pump replaced so i hope that isnt the problem again.. does anyone have any ideas on the pipe? is there anything in the bottom pipe to make it more solid then the top? thanks

EXACTLY the same thing with mine.
My hose was leaking a bit last year and I knew my antifreeze was mixed with a bit of water so I replaced the coolant and lower hose. Last week or so it got really cold out and I noticed the same thing. Didn't squeeze the hose though thinking it was good antifreeze. I'll try it next time.

Some hoses have a wire in them to prevent it from sucking shut.
If its freezing then you have a big problem. Have you checked your antifreeze to see where it tests out at?
Could have a leak in the radiator as well they will crack on the left upper side

I've had a block heater fitting leak on my Liberty while it was covered under warranty. If you can't find a leaky hose look for one or maybe a leaky frost plug.
