Wow that *****. How the heck you break the key, with your knee or something more exciting?
I would try to use two larger sewing needles and tweezer to try to pull it out.
Or stop at a locksmith if wedged in there, they may be able to assist better.

Powerful magnet? They make some for marine use that will pull 10-15 pounds.

Just an off the wall thought.

I wonder if the magnet could effect the sentry system some how?
One thing is for sure a locksmith has fine picks to probably get it out.

Magnet wouldn't work...

The keys are chrome plated brass... Non-Magnetic... Just tried mine, magnet won't stick to them. Besides the magnet wouldn't be able to just hold the key.

I'm betting some fine pointed picks could get it out. I have some dental picks i use for working on surface mount electronics, i bet one of the hook shaped ones could grab it and pop it out enough to get a needle nose pliers on it.

I think this sounds like the best thing to try.

I just used some of the small picks i have to remove a broken key from a cabinet lock today, odd coincidence after discussing the possibility here.

Worked good... Took the pick and put the point up against the key and tapped it lightly with the handle of a screwdriver, the pick is hardened steel so i dug into the key, then i just pryed on it and the key popped out about one step of the tumblers, then i had enough to grab with a small needle nose and it came right out.

I am waiting to hear back from Teckman02, to hear if he got the key out, by any method mentioned, or maybe by some fluke like a good ole wad of week old jawbreaker gum. LOL:D
