I'd keep them on. If you don't like the looks now, don't worry, the chrome will start peeling off shortly and you'll be left with a nice dull gray appearance.

I voted to keep the badging. for me, i like it on there. Lets everybody know I drive one of the best damn vehicles made!

On the other hand, I've seen a few debaged KJ's floatin around on here and on LOST and they do look good, especially the black one with the rubi wheels, can't think of the guys name though.

Keep it on. The name Jeep is associated with the vehicle. Without it some nut will want to know " 'Hey you, what type of wheels are this? Some cheap asian copy of that icon JEEP?"

If you have any dealership badging, I say remove that. But keep all the jeep badges, it's nice for the other jeepers riding around to be able to identify the model and if it's a 4wd :p Not that we can't all identify the different models just by looking at headlights and fender flares.

Have ALL my badging off now, to me it looks so much cleaner than with that junk plastic badging on. Of course mine is black so I think it does make a difference. I have never had any look at it and think it was anything other than a Jeep but then I live in Toledo. I took the hood badging off first and think it makes it look smoother more like a 1950s custom.
But that is just the way i think. Someday when i get tired of it I already have the Cherokee badging for the sides just to mess with people!

Personal taste and also, if you wish to sell your Liberty, will probably make a difference. Mine ... Debadged and likin' it.

agree with that comment. I like to see what others are driving but looks is very important to me anyhow. I always always look at the basket rack and lights on the Renegades. I'm so jealous! [-o<

I have considered removing the 'L' from 3.7L

In the UK, 'L' is about the lowest spec model in any car range...

POVERTY SPEC - L, GL, GLS, GT, SPORT, SE, GLX, Ghia, etc - TOP SPEC

Some non jeep people might think mine is a bottom of the range model!!

No other model in the UK has 'L' to denote Litre.

3.7 RS...now that sounds better!!

but GL stands for Good Lookin! ;-)

just get some custom emblems to go below it, like "SPEC-V" or "CUSTOM". maybe "NITRO", "TURBO", "ASTRO", "AERO", "SUPER-AWESOME-O", "ROCKET-FUELED"

or maybe just "JEEP" says it all

Here in the US, "sport" means baseline for some cars, but for others it means the sportier model. It's weird. There's basically no way to easily tell which is which.

I'd like to remove the badging that says "Liberty" and replace it with "Cherokee" badging from the UK. When you removed the badging did it damage the paint?

How do you guys get the badging off without damaging the paint? Do you use a hair dryer or what?

Dealership badges have to go. On a black KJ, definately debadge, the debadged black ones around here look sharp. Otherwise leave them on.

As parts begin to damage/fade i've thought about replacing the "Liberty" door molding with the Cherokee molding on my '05. Then replace the rear bumper with the euro bumper.....
