Jeep Warranty Limitations

I'm wondering what are the limitations on the car's warranty regarding do-it-yourself maintenance, or maintenance in a non-authorized mechanic?

'Cause dealers always want to take advantage of people...

Well according to my gf's dealer, as long as she does one of two things. I do all the maintenance on her car, oil, tires, etc. So the dealer said to not void the warranty do the following;

1) Bring the service book into the dealer for them to stamp to verify the oil change or service.

2) Save the resets for filters so they know you purchased them.

I log it in the book, and staple the receipts to the book. Haven't had them ever question the maintenance.
