My 5 speed '04 Renegade 2WD needs a few replacements right now and since this is my first car that isn't an ancient honda time bomb I am completely lost. My Jeep is all stock, has 72K on it (bought it at 66k Feb '15), and has not had anything more serious than a wiper blade replacement (but has extensive records of service checks.)

I know that my tire size is 225/75R-16, but the stock tires are so dinky I feel I can't even call her a Jeep. I live in Washington state so I need tires that can perform on and in every type of weather condition.

Also, after poking through threads I'm thinking I'm probably way overdue for springs/shocks and brakes.

I make payments on my Lib so I am absolutely not interested in doing this myself. If you guys can make brand and store suggestions I would really appreciate it. I love my baby but man am I new to this Jeep stuff!

Welcome
Many ways you can go suspension wise from stock type replacements to upgraded Ironman / OME full suspension kits that are a great upgrade
If wanting somewhat larger tires that is the opnly way to go
Lift, somewhat larger tires etc
All depends on budget, what the outcome is you want
Doesn't matter if you never go offroad, an upgraded suspension rides and handles better on road as well

Welcome to the forums as well.
When my Jeep was stock, eventually the springs had sagged so bad, I could hardly get 2 finger's wide, from top of tire, to fender well.
I felt every bump over the road and went to a full 2.5" OME suspension lift and JBA 4.5 control arms+ a tad more in Boiler's steel spacer +clevis conduits, to level the front & rear equally.
The lift section is a good place to read and get up to speed, with what others are doing.

All I can say is after driving an OME lifted Jeep, it now drives so smooth & more like a sports truck, no kidding.
Thing handles like the dickens, good alignment, & Thanks for all of Tom's help, during my build.

Tires: Ya that's what meets the road & most important when it turns nasty, especially with a heavier 2WD SUV and snow.
Find a decent All terrain (AT) tire, many like their Wrangler Duratrac's and the tire & wheel section, has some good brands & info there too.

The bottom two tires on the site, Wrangler SR-A and Wrangler ST are crap & should only be used as a.....

My ex's came with those dinky little tires, the stock upsize is 235/70R16, I went with General Grabber AT2's that size. WORLD of difference.
