How hard is it to pull the intermediate steering shaft? From the FSM it doesn't look too bad.

I need to replace this boot. It's a bit chewed up. I'm not really sure why.

The other question is, can I buy just the boot or do I have to get the whole intermediate shaft?

Judging from WholesaleMopar.com I have to buy the whole shaft, which is mucho expensive.

I put some clear silicone on it so I wouldn't get water in the passenger compartment. That should hold her for a while. It's just a temporary fix though.
