interior lights no longer turn on when i open the doors?

the lights only work when i click it in. any ideas on how to fix it?

was putting in led strips in front with neighbor, he said he took off courtesy light on drivers side n accidentally hit the port where the bulb hooks into with a metal screwdriver. how do i get the lights to turn back on when the door are opened?

i dont get any power from driver side courtesy light

ok i left the car alone went back 2 hrs later n the lights were fine, i guess it was a surge or something
