I already got my transfer case skid plate and will be getting my engine/transmission skidplate soon :D and was wondering about the nuts or rivnuts (or whatever the actual name is) that get put in the frame.
Can these be put in without the tool or is the tool essential?
Thanks!

You can fit them with a bolt, a nut, and a washer.

You put the nut on the bolt, then the washer, then the nutzert. Make sure there is some thread of the bolt showing above the nutzert.

Then the nutzert in the hole in the body and you now tighten (turning it to the left so it will press against the nutzert) the nut while holding the bolt with another wrench or socket.

That way you 'crush' the nutzert in place. When you feel it's tight enough take out the bolt and your nutzert is fitted.

Hope this makes some sence to you..

You should sticky that in the how-to or something, seems like we get the nutsert question once a month at least.

If you purchased the skids from Mopar, then they should come with the tool. If not, then yeah, you will need to make something like the one above.

Anyone know the size of the nutzerts? Like the diameter, length, etc?
I have to install some step rails on the wifes libby and have a local place I can get them cheaper than dealer, figure all the "accessories" are all about the same size.
