Ignition Switch

Does anyone have a diagram of the undershroud area of the ignition switch and everything around it? My son was replacing the Igniton actuator pin on his 2005 CRD and he thinks a large spring shot out while taking it apart, now he cant crank it, the key rolls forward but doesnt spring back. The dash lights flash several times then all go out, but of course the engine wont turn over. Any ideas?

Dorman 924-704 can supply the correct assembly.

Assuming your steering wheel rotates properly...you should be able to slot the ignition key into its normal slot..to enable SKEES.. and use a small flat screwdriver to start the Jeep by rotating the Ignition Switch itself!

So at least you can use the Jeep while you resolve your run-away spring issue with help from LibertyTC's video!
