If changing your front seal

Hey guys just dumb question but if I am not opening the pumpkin on the front differential and just taking the yoke off to change the seal, shouldn't I be able just to pull the seal and torque the nut back up to specifications?:shrug: any and all help will be apreciated

Have to be careful if you don't get the nut just right it will change the preload and ruin the bearing
