Go back to the first post in this thread. The original poster, Twack, has some good photos of the whole process and how the parts go together.

Those suffixes. Aa ab ac. If the main part number matches you are good to go. The 'a' suffixes are minor updates.52111596aa at driveashaftparts but my label says 52111596ab which they don't list, but some sites show those numbers
Nice job! I have done a few - maybe 3x, but don’t recall the shift bracket info. Maybe I could have finished sooner. Usually pull the KJ up a bit of a bank and get myself down in the swale - plenty o’ room there.Sorry to resurrect this thread but it was a big help (and of course I watched a few Youtube videos as well). Driveshaft Parts kits were great so I would recommend them as well. I did have to really pound to get the old CV joints off (front and rear - only the rear was bad) and it was not a nice slip fit getting the new ones one back on so took some force (front and back). Splines didn't appear damaged and no real rust so not sure why.
I do want to really thank TwoBobsKJ for the information on taking the transfer case shifter cable bracket loose (3 15mm bolts). I was able to get the driveshaft out without doing this (I think in part due to the condition of the rear CV joint and I got the front outer cover off), but no way it was going back in. If I have to do this again, I might put the bracket back on first with the driveshaft not fully installed as the bolts were a little tight to get to around the driveshaft.
It's interesting that all the videos on Youtube did not have the exhaust routed like our 2002 Liberty Ltd Automatic V6.
