Is the F250 the 5.4 gasser or the Powerstroke (whose displacement escapes me at the time)...

5.4
I dont think you could force a power smoke to get 13 highway
heck my buddy has a 1 ton dully crew cab and towing my TJ
in a DUMP TRAILER ,because he had it and the TJ fit, through the hills between
N.O. LA and Gillmer TX he was getting 16-18 doing 75+

Somewhere between being sane and insane!
man you guys dont know what poor mpgs looks like
try 12-13 highway ,trying to get good milage
this is what I get in my '09 F250 ,granted it weighs in at close to 9,000#
and that is from a scale
or my TJ weighing in at about 4200#
going 60-65 I may be able to get 16-17 highway but lets face it 65 is SLOW
so I go 70+ a little ,which is around 65 on the speedo, and may see 15
The KJ going the same 70+ can easily get 20

oh and for the record
when the 250 was new(er) with nothing in it it still only got 14 highway
Gotta get a 7.3 PS,my old man's '01 F250(7.3)get's 25mpg empty(rarely ever happens since it almost never is empty) and can still pull about 12-14mpg's with 20,000lbs in tow at about 90mph(yes he drives fast).Oh and he has over 700,000 miles on it and has not touched the engine or trans besides routine maintenance.

if it were my money then I would not own the gasser
but considering that the truck cost me exactly $0 to have
I dont mind
