How do steel front bumpers mount?

I've got a buddy who works at a machine shop and we're looking into building me a steel front bumper for my KJ. I'm just not exactly sure how everyone mounts them on the kj, if anyone has any install pics of anykind they'd be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

ARBs have a mounting bracket which mounts to where say the tow hooks go and then clear across with more mounting points, super strong tying everything together.
