HELP - wierd problem

I have a stock 2004 Jeep Liberty, when I am driving it the headlights will suddenly turn off and on. This only happens periodocally, i can go two weeks and it won't happen then out of the blue it happens again. Does anyone know what may be causing this?

Have your battery checked? My interior lights used to do the same thing... and it wasn't too much later that my battery died.

Either that, or maybe a short somewhere. But I would check the battery first.

Have a look at the headlight relay, it may be faulty, or the multi switch for the headlights.

It's the multifunction (headlight) switch. The only solution is to replace it and then it's just gonna break again. Mine used to (also a 2004) and my sister's does this occasionally. She never notices when it happens though.

Yup, sounds like the multi function switch to me as well!

Mine does it when I use my blinkers and they shut off after a turn. Mine is not a big deal though.
