To bad quality and fit/finish is terrible, those Chinese body parts are so cheaply made they will rust out before your done paying for the KJ,will take as long to get them to fit correctly also(yep worked a few years at a bodyshop and now those cheap aftermarket parts).

Well I didn't have any problems, fit and finish was absolutely perfect for the parts I got. *shrug*

AMC Pacer took out the front clip of my Bravada....[-(

03 cobra took out the front of a 64 300K. Both were repaired like new and the 300K now has a 440 with the factory tunnel rams while the original block is in the garage.

Kboone: If you decide to pocket the cash and do it yourself, make sure all wires, hoses, fittings, etc are in good shape. Or, turn it into a beater and tape a maglight or two to the hood:D

AMEN TBJ....

Same here, those four legged bastards are why i have as small a deductible as i can afford. I hit a deer with the KJ on the way home from buying it, couldn't avoid it, just happens around here. Two weeks after that i almost took out my windshield from hitting a pheasant.

The deer accident was $1800, but i only had to pay $250 of that due to my smaller comp and collision deductibles.

Thats why everyone needs an ARB bumper
3 deer and a Toyota Camry and still no problems , just some paint on mine from the Camry:rolleyes: and finding a little hair now and again:D

ThunderbirdJunkie didn't have an ARB, but he had a gnarly bumper on his CJ7

92-5 Civic hatchback glass looks neat though when it pops out of the gate and hits your bumper...

I am not going to shell out the cash for the ARB on my own, but I drive downtown every day. It's a matter of time before I get hit. When it happens, I'll be taking the insurance money and picking one up.

No, I don't need it for off-road, but it's nice to not worry if I have to ram someone :D

Now my ARB is at head level on most passenger cars on the road today,I don't just mangle cars anymore,my KJ is severely lethal if I t-bone someone in a passenger car and I don't hit the brakes if I know I'm going to get in a accident,I floor it(hey might as well do it right:D).

Since we are discussing the ARB's lethality a bit....

One question i have had on that ARB, do you have to beef up the front suspension to take the extra weight of the bumper???

The only thing i don't like about the ARB is it makes the front end look so open and unfinished with the washer reservoir hanging out and everything else exposed. They almost need to make some kind of cover or shield for that washer fluid reservoir, otherwise its pretty unprotected and damn expensive to replace the pump when you snap it off. I think ramming into a snow drift with the ARB on and no protection for it i would end up snapping off that washer fluid pump 4-5 times a winter.

When i hit my deer this year i smashed up the front passenger side corner of the bumper and the washer fluid reservoir got cracked and the pump smashed. That damn pump was $78 and the reservoir was another $40 i think. Would have to look at the bill again. $118 makes a $30-$40 plate worthwhile to cover it up.

I would think that it wouldn't be that hard to relocate the reservoir. Has anyone even attempted to move it?

Ahh ok, so stiffer springs up front to take the weight...

TBJ you mentioned they include a cover to protect the washer fluid reservoir with the ARB?? Odd, every picture i have seen of installed ARB's shows the washer fluid reservoir hanging down in open space.

Does anyone have the install instructions for the ARB showing that cover and such? I doubt i will be able to afford one any time soon but a guy can dream.
