fuel injection ?

I decided to pop the hood this afternoon, just to take a look and make sure that everything looked ok. and most of it looked fine, but the air filter is getting a little dirty. so I will have to pick one of them up. anyway, something just didn't seem right. I am no **** at fuel injection systems. but it struck me odd that I couldn't find a mass air flow sensor. so i did a quick look in the service manual, and sure enough, I could not find anything about one in there either. so if there is no mass airflow sensor, how does the computer know how much air the engine is gulping? ok, so gulping is a bit overkill in this case. but it IS a little mopar, a guy can dream can't he? lol and while I'm on the subject, I've seen a couple of larger throttle bodies being installed on 3.7's in Grand Cherokee's (you tube). will that work on Liberties as well?
