front end part question

What is the plastic piece circled in the picture? I assume it is some plastic cover for wires. I ask because I accidentally drilled into it and I am trying to gauge how worried I should be.

Your assumption is correct. Hopefully you didnt knick any wires. As far as the plastic having a hole I wouldn't worry about that. Mine broke off years ago and I haven't experienced any Ill effects.

Thanks you were right full of wires, in my case three of which were drilled/cut...oh well they are fixed now. Thanks for the help.
