Today while zipping down the freeway, a hay bale fell off of a truck in front of me. I had to hit the brakes pretty hard to keep from hitting it as it bounced off the road. Exciting? Yes..... Fun? No
Since then, whenever I brake there is a popping noise coming from the front of my jeep. (similar to dragging a thumb across dry plastic.) It's loudest under 20 mph. Seems to be worse when the front suspension is under load.
I checked my lugnuts, crawled under the front and didn't see anything. I even found an empty parking lot and tried it in reverse, and nothing.
Any ideas?
