I love the sound of my 50 series SUV. It was louder at first but after a couple weeks it seems like it has gotten alittle quiter(could just be me?).

It does drone alittle around 2k rpms but it doesnt bother me that much..

If you want it loud then it may be alittle raspy with the 40series.. Some people say they like them on the liberty and some people say they dont.. I guess its all about the sound that you are looking for.

Center in; Offset out.. 2.5in DIA

I have a 40 on mine. Like jeepjeepster it has a drone but mine does it at about 1.5k. I have also had people in the back seat complain about how loud it is and about not being able to hear the conversation in the front. It's not that bad upfront but, if you plan on having people in the back much, the 50 might work best.

edit: jeepjeepster, have you taken any video and/or sound of yours?

Jon, I bought the 50SUV two weeks ago, will get it welded soon.
If you wanna hear it let me know I will drive by your place one evening. I am just getting estimates from the shops next week. Some of them want as much as $150 to get it hooked up, I am planning to get it done for like $70 if I can find a place.

Jeepjeepster, I have a question for you.
What's the actual part# on this Flowmaster? Is it a 52557?
I want to put one on mine.
They're about $50 cheaper on Ebay than PepBoys around here.

I went to Flowmasters website and found this is about the right one
for the specs. Also, what did you do with the flange on the back of the converter?
Cut it off and sleeve to the muffler?
Actually, it looks like you're not running a converter.
