Errmm...if I...ermmm...did break the valve stem by turning it with the little tool too much. Does that mean I need a whole new valve + sensor? If so, I guess that's only available from the dealer?![]()
Guess i'll bring it to a tire place and have the tire replaced, they will change the valve/sensor while they are at it im sure...ugh stupid spare.Yes, the whole thing needs to be replaced. No, NAPA and other places have replacement sensors.

I totally understand that Eric!
But when you are literally between a rock and a hard place and the only option of getting your rig home... Other than having a tow truck come and "Recover you" at a most absurd cost... I think that it is a viable option!
A few stupid friends of mine have had their rigs "Recovered" after walking for 6-8 hours just to get to a tow truck joint and sleeping outside in below zero temperatures... And...
$600.00 to literally $900.00 to have their **** towed out of something that they should of never gotten stuck in in the fists place had they listened in another friend on me...
I'd rather kill a wheel and tire (I don't do TPMS! Just a gimmick for STUPID lazy people who couldn't be bothered to check their damn tires!
Also, more crap that needs batteries and additional maintenance!)
At the end of the day?
Alot less expensive than a "Tow job Recovery!"

But the choice between adding fixaflat and changing a tire, for him at least, is not a choice at all![]()
While I do agree with you that getting home anyway possible(god knows my buddies and I have done some crazy stuff) but that fix-a-flat stuff(all of it,any brand) is highly toxic which leaves the guy changing the tire on the rim not happy and yes I've been on that end alot and would like more kids someday.I will add...
Nothing wrong with using a tyre mousse when you have NO OTHER OPTIONS!
I've run $500 a piece Ralley tyres on my Rally car that have punctured after only 30 miles of an all out high speed rally stage...

The so called "Crap tire sealant" as other nay sayers here have condemned(Obviously without actually using a real quality product I will add!)
