I like it! Just secure your rod properly and watch out for low bridges/trees ;)

Looks good! Now you need one of those hitch propellers. What kind of fish do you get?

That,s the worst way of transporting a fishing rod. they won,t last long if you keep em like that. just get cross bars and put em on top. there 2 piece put inside of truck.

If you had some of these, you wouldn't need a holder. "You can even hang it on your belt"! :happy175:

Not sure I would store my rods this way personally, Would be cool to cast into the lake and set it there though.

With the sort of HD gear you've got, I don't see any problems with it other than sorry S.O.B.s doing snatch and run if you turn your back somewhere.

I remember those from when I was a kid, my dad one back in the 70's that I would play with in the small creek in the woods. I haven't tried the latest version of one.

Hey guys, sorry I haven't responded.
I don't know what rods you guys are talking about.
I use 13' , 3 piece Saltwater Rods.
I 4 wheel and fish off the beach.
My friend tried the the roof rack with these rods, but they are too long and bounce off the hood when we hit the beach., lol. Since my post I have made six of these holders for friends with KJ's and Wranglers.
