I've searched a bit and haven't located anything so I thought my first question to the masses was due.

I hate that stupid side mounted radio ant and want to replace it with the US Export Cherokee KJ side turn signal indicators. Problem is I can't seem to find anything about them. Checked Austrailia and European sites ( the ones in English ) but still no joy. Couldn't find anything here using a search. I can't believe no one else has accomplished this.

Thanks in advance!

Yes, I've look over all the part references I could not come across any either. I've checked every eBay ( domestic and elsewhere ) but didn't find any. I've even tried to figure out what other vehicles here in the U.S. I could get some from ( I like the Mazda ones which look about the same size based on the pictures I've seen from the Cherokee KJs). Thanks for your offer! I'll pull off the antenna tonight and post up my results.

Thanks for the response. That picture is perfect and those are the same part numbers I came up with after ( cough cough ) purchasing a parts manual on-line....Now I've just got to find someone that is willing to order these parts OR say they even can. My local dealer said they couldn't and moparpartsamerica.com has indicated the same thing. The one place I could get pricing on line ( out of Oregon ) totaled almost $50.00 per side. OUCH!

I have been trying to get the same parts for a long time as well. If you figure out a place to get these please post. I have searched everywhere. You would think ebay would have them. I also want the door trim that says cherokee instead of liberty.

Have you tried the Jeep or E-bay sites in the UK?
They should have them available for the UK market.

I will not even bother to look up these parts here in SA as I think the price for parts here...from the Jeep dealers is normally about three times the USA price.:disgust:

Yes I thought they would have them readily available as well, but no luck. I always liked the look of the side repeater lamps plus the added safety factor.

Some one across the pond able to help me out? Id pay you for the troubles

Why don't you try get a similar looking one from another locally available vehicle....someone suggested a Mazda for instance.

This way you can get spares if needed.

I will have a look at some breaker yards here for them...I stay in a small town though so not many around....I also need to visit the dealers sometime....I need new gas struts for the hood... so I will find out the price/availability of these side-lights.

Very much appreciated Bill. Yes I am trying to find something else that will work that I can get in the states. I dont know the dimensions of the KJ ones to try and match. Could you get me those? That would be a huge help.
The Mazda ones are very large. I am thinking of using the Fiat 500 ones or the round Land Rovers.
Thanks!

OK I measured the size of my side lamps for my 2002 CRD Export.
The part number is 05288895AC according to the parts catalogue which is the same part number posted in this topic for the 2005 KJ.

It is yellow, oblong with a length of 55 mm, height of 35 mm, depth of 19 mm.

I will let you do the conversion to Imperial dimensions.

Mercury Mariners have them also. Might be another option.

Tribute, Mariner, and Escape had the same body for a while, I believe (just to add to the quantity of vehicles to check out). I'm sure you could also check out different sedans too...it's all about making it work.

I wanted the real deal...simply to have the euro spec ones and it still all be Jeep factory equipment. I was also trying to get a set of the euro door trim pieces as well. I always liked the cherokee and never understood why they changed the name for us. Doesnt seem very realistic now. So, Ive decided on either
A4/A3 2001 smoked side markers

OR
Ones that look more similar to the Euro ones but arent exactly the same...the Toyota Yaris side markers

These Range Rover ones were also an option because they looked like the JK side markers but would be much easier to mount than the real JK ones
