Boy's 06 Liberty's Clutch gave out at 100030 miles...he's headed to a tech college in a couple of months and wanted to get his hands dirty doing the swap. No big deal, we've got all the tools. Until one of the caged nuts on the exhaust crossover uncaged the square nut. Passenger rear...you can see it, but I'll be damned if we can get anything ON it.

It's gotta come out, failure is not an option...any suggestions?

Small Angle Grinder?

I presume you are making use of the 2006 KJ Service Manual below to do this clutch replacement!

Main thing to keep in mind is that the Flywheel is not flat!

So if you see major damage on the flywheel you cannot get a shop to skim it down...minor scratches can be carefully taken out with Emory Paper.....download the 2006 Jeep KJ Service Manual below.

Of course this means that a curved Clutch Plate must be fitted....Mopar is fine but I have found the correct product from LUK!;)
