It would be a pretty involved swap. Not plug and play by anymeans. Easiest would be an 02 3.7.

if you know what you are doing and have the tools anything can be done there will be one person on here that will say that it will cost you around 20,000..... the 4.7 out of a WJ grand will fit but where you are at it is known as the WG more than likely..... all i would do before you you start this is do your research try and get your hands on a copy of the factory service manuals and start reading, since you say that you have an 02 you should able to use your tranns and TCU since the the WJ used the 45rfe and your KJ should have the same... last but not least good luck to you my good man

Thankyou for the information youve sent to my thread. Im here just looking for the best option to swap my kj. Because in my country easier to find a halfcut grand cherokee than i have to order the part of kj abroad.
I dont know why is liberty kj in Indonesia isnt a good option to buy a jeep rather than jk or tj.
I think that indonesian people just thibk that kj series similar to a suzuki here. Lol

Oh one more question, is there possible to changed all of steering and suspension With another type of cherokee.. Maybe grand or yhe 90's cherokee that have 6 silinder inline.. Thankyou for being so friendly.. Cheers

anything is possible
except that would require a ton of work and would end up with a big pile of nothing

well if you are talking about doing a SFA swap the XJ or the ZJ would not be a good choice and if you are wanting to try and stick the 4.0 I6 in the KJ you are out of luck because that thing is just way too long after mounting everything up for cooling and such the thing will more than likely stick out way past the grill
