EGR valve location 2002 3.7

Hi. Brand new here. Have had my Liberty Limited 2002 3.7 2 wheel drive since new.
Where and how to get at the EGR valve?

If you have a EGR valve standing in front facing the engine it will be to the right hand side at the top rear of the engine. Sort of behind the where the intake is, it’ll have small piping that goes back to the intake if I remember right. It is held on by two bolts and has a wire plug.

No EGR on a 2002 3.7L. At least my departed 02 didn't have one.

I thought it was after 2007 addition, but I have heard of some early 3.7 that did have egr, one was a low mileage motor I think the guy said was from Mexico. I’m just not sure the early liberty 3.7 had them or not.

EGRs are standard in various forms on all the KJ CRDs....never heard of it on a Gasser?

Cause major problems so most CRD owners have discarded them or disabled them but the theory is that it helps Emissions Control!
