Crunching Sound

I have recently noticed a crunching sound coming from the rearend area of my Libby when I first start it on cold mornings and back it out of the driveway. Sounds like someone put a handful of gravel in the rear differential. The only time I hear this is the first time I back it up on cold mornings. Fluid level is normal. My Libby has less than 15k miles on it and it doesn't have "posi" or a "locker." Anyone else experienced this? (Aeh)

It could possibly be the infamous rear brake moan, if so there is a relatively new tsb to quite the noise
