Buttons stay the same and so do the harnesses behind the airbag. I'm almost positive it's all the same being I grabbed cruise control from an 04 to put on an 02(I think it was an 04)
If it's vacuum operated which I'm 90% sure it is, basically plug and play.

Was about 97.2 % sure but wanted to check before I started something
My 03 didn't have cruise and there are times when I sort of miss it

I've installed new factory units on an 05 and and 07, but never pulled one from from a junker , not much to them really so should be simple and wiring is there.

I believe the radio controls go on the backside of the wheel, there are little plastic inserts back there. My dodge has the same configuration of cruise on the front and radio on the back.

He was referring to the wiring. If you pull cruise from a junker that has the steering wheel control buttons, you can still use the cruise part just not the steering wheel control buttons. They use different clocksprings.

Yup. Some have a two pin connector for the cruise buttons, some have 5. 2 pin=no steerig wheel controls 5pin=cruise and steering wheel control

If your jeep doesn't have cruise, just pull the buttons and harness regardless of the steering wheel controls. Plug in the cruise control servo and you're good
