Do CRD's have 4.10's too or only 2.4l gassers? I noticed on tony's crd axle it said 4.10 trac-lock. this would make my search for 4.10 axles way more realistic.

The CRD is a 2.8 I4 Diesel turbo engine, and can have the same gears as the 2.4 I4. The CRD is 200lbs heavier than the 2.4 Gas engine, and has 160HP. They were only available in 2005 and 2006 in the sport or limited? As usual, the GOVERNMENT put the stop to them, they were discontinued because of stricter 2007 United States diesel emission standards. Maine, Vermont, Massachusetts, New York, and California had already banned sales of the CRD due to their rigid state emissions regulations. A 3.0L CRD engine, which is based on the Mercedes "BlueTec" design, and that is still in production for the Jeep Grand Cherokee.

They list a 2.5 CRD with the same HP rating as the 2.8 for the Liberty, were they used somewhere else?

For Export Models. And who knows if this is even true because Tony has the older 2.5L CRD.

They were discontinued for emissions reasons, however the 3.0L CRD was not a "BlueTec" engine, nor is it still available for the same reasons as the discontinuation of the 2.8L CRD in the Liberty. Emissions.

The 2.5L CRD DID have the same Horsepower rating, but it had less torque.

The 3.0 CRD was available in 2007, in Canada in the Cherokee.

Um, yeah. If you are referring to the Grand Cherokee, you're right. It was available here too...

No Liberty was called Cherokee in Canada. They (Canada) pretty much have the same motor vehicle requirements as the united states and are not considered "Export" models. The only real difference is DRLs and everything is measured in Kilometers.
