I need to paint my front control arms, and the skid. Otherwise I think I'll be fine here in WI with my washing schedule...knock on wood.

I think I am going to take mine off and paint them also. I got some diff oil changes and spring Jeep cleaning yet to do.

My undercarriage is rusty in some spots. rear axle, a spot on the diff cover. A few parts are totally covered in surface rust, like the steering knuckle and clevis. I'm going to do some touch-ups this weekend while we do teh suspension project.

Question. Do I need to remove the front brake discs before I wire brush the steering knuckle? Or can I just cover or wrap the area with something? I don't want to get all that crap in my caliper or all over the brake disc.

Wrap a plastic bag around it and tape it up.
That should be fine.
