I'm removing a 3.7 from my fiance's 02 Liberty and it seems the converter bolts are a size that doesn't make sense - 11/16 is too small, 18mm is too large. I did measure them with my dial calipers, came up with .701" flat to flat. WTF? 23/32" looks like the closest I can come.....nope, no 23/32 wrench in my tool box. Any tricks here? The 18mm just seems mighty loose on those thin headed bolts.

well, I got them out - the 18mm is the right size even though I thought it was a little loose. The real problem was somebody used red LockTite on them - I ended up clocking them around to the 5 o'clock position (from the front) and using a 1/2" drive breaker bar. If you all don't mind, I'll leave this thread up in case anybody else has this issue.

Pretty much everything since the late 90's is metric fasteners. You can take half the vehicle apart with a 9mm, 10mm & 13mm.
