So this was stolen for jeepforum but i really liked the idea of it. What are some cheap mods you've done or want to do to your KJ??
It could be anything, lets get creative! :D

Mudd's trimming of rear bumper,removeing rear swaybar,the weight things on rear axle,remove weather strip at rear of hood when off road,still looking for proper road sign to finish front skid sys.

Receiver tow hook...tint...

I think you might keep your jeep too clean to have some creative mods :D
Although the reciever tow hook is a nice one.
D-ring front tow hooks up front can be pretty cheap.
Mounting a CB antenna off the spare tire using a bolt through one of the empty stud holes? i think im going to look into this!

remove weather strip at rear of hood when off road

I have never heard of this being done, what is the purpose of this? Just curious.

I am going to chop my front bumper in the next couple of days, also want to make some sort of front skid (want to use a speed camera sign :D). Thinking about taking off the rear sway bar and damper thing. Want to relocate washer bottle. Need to redo my cb antenna mount. That is about all till I get some tax refund money :cool:

Forgot to add cutting out third cat,muffler,put in pipe,trush cherry bomb,left tail pipe,sounds good. Think I might have 35$ in this "mod".

Thought we were talking modifications,not cute stuff someone did,oh well what I get for thinking.


The question was regarding cheap/free mods. Nobody said any of this stuff is on par with a Frankenlift. You pay to play.

GTP Hood Louvers
20 bucks and 30 minutes time

Debadging
20 minutes time

little wide angel spot mirrors
2.99

inside rear rack
grabbed a wire mesh dog barrier for a van that a neighbor threw away
1/2 inch black pipe and 2 turn buckels
less than 5 bucks

theres others;)

Got a pic of the hood louvers? i would love too but am afraid of cutting my hood since nothing is wrong with it yet :rolleyes:
i also have cut the lower part of my front bumper and added the d-ring tow hooks i will have to get some decent pictures of the front tomorrow!!
