I have done it a few times but was wondering if anyone takes out the
cylinder block drain plug and should I be doing it

also I have never had a problem with air in the system but maybe draining the block could cause that problem, is there a air bleed valve somewhere

thanks for you help

Nooby, welcome to the forum!
ITBJHO the best thing to do would be run the Jeep with the lower hose sucking water out of a 5 gallon bucket, and another hose on the lower radiator outlet going into another bucket, then hook it all back up, fill, and burp.

good point, that sounds better, one other question

the coolant purge screw at the upper rad line, any trick at getting it loose?
I pulled pretty hard didn't budge at all
i figure I would try some pb blaster on the cold engine and let it sit over night

don't worry about loosening it. When you burp the system just leave the radiator cap off and keep an eye on the temp guage. Pretty sure those screws came seized from the factory (rotflmao)

Thats good to know, I have drained and filled it before, and left the cap off as you said and I gave the upper hose a few squeezes for good luck
seized or propably welded on to ensure no leaks :D
