I haven't actually been under my Jeep yet but it is oil change time. In my Neon I run an older Dodge V8 filter for a little more capacity and possibly better cooling. This is at the expense of some ground clearance but it still does not protrude below the oil pan. Is there a similiar trick for the 3.7?

Based on where the oil filter mounts I would say a larger one wouldn't fit. (It is pretty tight in there already) But I haven't tried either. Let us know if you find a larger one that fits and how it works out.

I posted on the LOST board a while back that the PH8A a ford filter works just fine, yiu may need to trim the plastic funnel that collects the oil that drips down the engine a little.

Good stuff there Al. I will pick one up and see if I can stuff it in there!
