This

It's not cheap...nor does it last long (about 3 months)....but it sure looks great. Easy to apply/remove, smells great....
I have used Meguire's Waxes, NXT 2.0 comes close, but no cigar.
NOTE: IF you're not going to prep right (clay, polish, etc.) this wax isn't for you.

Rover looks xtreme with Barrier Reef. The carnauba wax generally dries hard and is more difficult to remove. Does this product fully dry or did they do something in the compound to make it easier to remove?
Would you say this is better than Meguires #3?

Thanks.

I didn't use anything to help take it off....just a towel.

I've never used Meg's #3, but between a $21 wax and a $7 one there must be a difference.

HJ, I would like you to try a comparison between Megs#3 and Reef in the future!

IMO because I have done the clay & Megs system 1-2-3 and have found that #3 is superior in shine.
It also lasts up to 6 months in an outside environment, where protection from the elements is priority.
Meg's 3 drys hard and is not the easiest to remove, but wow use a buffer, and that may be the secret, a real hard coat of shiny carnauba Wax.

I might do a comparo, not sure if I have the room for more stuff though. It's superior to Meg's Cleaner Wax.

#1 is cleaner- #2 is polish- #3 is wax. I would not try to compare 1 to a wax. it isn't.
Am at work, no pics here, would have to see what I got a home. Really have not done a set of hood photos after cleaning...hmmm...if it ever stops raining...

OK. I have to many to list. I've made my decision. There is no best wax. It is all in the prep.:p

My humble collection (the shelf with all my waxes/sealants)...

That shelf is the icing on the cake.

This is what creates the shine...

I knew you would love that.:)

I've not dabbled in the Surf City collection yet. However, they have some great products in that line. Awesome tire shine. Since that pick, I picked up a trial version of Dodo Hard Candy and a couple of others.

In all honesty, I would have to say my favorites (most used) are these...

Sealant - Duragloss #105
Wax - Pinnacle Souveran Paste
Spray wax - Duragoss #951 Aqua Wax

I still love the others though. I mix it up depending on the color, flake in the paint, longevity desired, etc...

There are a couple I wont use again though. Any cleaner wax... Meguiar's Deep Crystal #3, Mother's Cleaner Carnuba, etc.. and Turtle Wax Ice. Anything that stains plastic or doesn't last more than two weeks is out.

I put most of my $$ into polishes though. Nothing beats Menzerna PO85RD.

Can I join the Wax ****/Clean Freaks Club?
Jeez 67 Customs can you do my rig? You can eat off that DuraGloss.
Anyways, it finally stopped raining and got a quick coat of Meguires #3 Wax on, that was long overdue. Not the best lighting, here is a photo anyways.

I tried as you requested for comparison HJ.
Our white balance is different as well, your's appears grey. I set my camera to manual white and shoot off a white piece of paper. If you camera can do this you will find awesome colors, if you do a manual balance in shade and then again in sun.
I think overall both our Carnauba wax are acceptable.
Just think how many never even get a coat on, we are doing well to protect our finish.

Thanks, I still think we could still compare the reflections well enough. Both look good.

Yeah, we wax once every 3-4 months...with quality stuff...while some every 3-4 years with Turtle Crap.... :D

A couple of important process that many refuse to do is good prep work.
Nothing beats a quality warm wash once or twice depending on how bad your rig is. Never use dish soap.
Now once clean, onto the clay bar. All of the fine impurities need to be removed, before you seal with any wax or sealant.
If you miss the claybar treatment you will be sealing in a bunch of crap below.
A polymer sealant like Duragloss should offer a great shine and long lasting protection. (have not tried Duragloss yet)
I still like the Meguires 3 step, but am willing to try something new next time.
I will need more clay too. I wonder if we could use modelling clay or something that is still safe but not $30 for a kit?
