I started with a 4 speed/smog 350 1976 Camaro. It was more bondo than car plus I never drove past a gas station so that was replaced with a 2.5/5 speed Fiero. No rust, got great gas mileage and was awesome in snow. Unfortunately it was also starting to fall apart when I was at the university so I replaced it with a 1994 6 speed Z28.

I loved that car and wish I still had it but it started giving me problems and I had just bought my first new motorcycle so I reluctantly bought a 4 cylinder/5 speed/4x4 Nissan Frontier. That was a POS, and started to develop serious cancer after I bought it. I had it for what seemed like forever to boot. On a whim I ended up buying an '02 5 speed Turbo Beetle in bright orange with matching leather interior.

That was a pretty fun all around car and had it for 4-5 years. My interests changed plus I was getting tired of the chick car jokes so I decided that I wanted to add an XJ Cherokee to the fleet but still keep the Beetle. When I realized that wasn't going to happen with the wife I traded her in on the Liberty last winter.

For bikes it goes:
1977 Kawasaki KZ650 (bought from a garage sale in 1994)
1988 Honda Hawk GT
2001 Kawasaki ZX6R
2003 Triumph Speed Triple (bought as a new left over in 2005)
2013 Husky TR650 Terra (bought new)

The only one I regret was the ZX6R. I traded my beloved Hawk GT for something as common as a Ninja...yeah it was faster but it blended in with every other CBRZXRGSXR around, that and the clip on's were stupid low.

The Triumph I had for a long time and was really ready for something completely different. That and it started having a "no starting" issue so I just never trusted it towards the end. I would buy another Triumph though it would either be a twin (Bonnie or Scrambler) or the 675 Street Triple.

Honestly I wouldn't mind an older air cooled Ducati Monster or even an older pre VTEC Honda VFR.

First: 1966 Buick Skylark. 12 years old when I got it. (The car, not me...)

Bunch in between, including one that died on the freeway on the way home fifteen minutes after I bought it. Came back with a tow bar and it was gone. No tags on it and no valid registration, so I figured it wasn't worth the cost of the repair/tow/fines/crap. Can't even remember what it was... :happy175:

1997 Geo Tracker. Bought new, drove her until May 2013 when I got my Liberty. Got $200 on the trade-in and it still bugs me. I've got some cousins out in the country with kids who would have loved having it. 4WD, skid plates, 4D, no paint. It would have been worth $200 to watch them offroad it over them there hills in Harrisville, OH and thereabouts.

^ What kind of body kit on the Fiero? I'm still sitting on mine, deciding what I want to do with it. Might even turn it into an electric car just for fun, now that batteries are getting better.

Nortons are very cool but I would love to have a R1100S (got to demo a R1100RS, R1100GS and a K1100RS at Vintage Motorcycle Days back in '95 when I was 20). Boxers are my favorite BMW's

If you ever go shopping for a BMW R1100S be sure it had its' clutch splines lubed every 30,000 miles or the input shaft splines are toast in its' exotic Italian gearbox. They strip out completely at about 70,000 miles.

Fun to ride! Silly speed limits...

I've always had older trucks... always did my own work on them. GM enthusiast at first. Caught diesel-itis. Then Ford. Then Dodge... only because Cummins. Now I can say I'm a Mopar guy.

Herself had Cavaliers and Sunfires. And additionally, takes credit for running a Subaru Justy into the ground, and rolling a Fairmont. :ROFLJest:

She drives stick. She wanted an SUV, 2005 or newer. Not many options anymore. JK and H3 way out in crazy land for price. Came down to Xterra & KJ. KJ won on price... and because Mopar. :smoke2:
