First vehicle: 1992 Ford Aerostar XL. Loved the thing. Beat the ever livin' crap outta that thing. Use to roll around with 10-12 kids in there; party on wheels!

Second vehicle: 1999 Chevrolet Malibu. Was a decent car, had its fair share of problems. Sold it to my brother who still has it. He is horrible with maintence and it's still somehow running.

Third vehicle: 2000 Mercury Grand Marquis. The thing was a tank. Never had problems with it; I loved this car. If I didn't decide I needed 4wd, I would have kept the Grand Marquis. For being 4000 lbs of big American v8 powered car, it got great gas mileage, way better than the Liberty. If I can ever afford to have two vehicles, I am buying another one to dd, and will get a CJ / YJ / TJ to beat on.

Current vehicle: 2006 Jeep Liberty Renegade.

Too many to list in the last 40 years!
but there has always been at least "one" Jeep and a Harley in the garage, plus many other 4 wheel drives,

what I owned before my Liberty!? in order from last to first.

2003 Subaru Outback Lmited sedan. very nice car great in snow dependable and comfortable

1990 Subaru Legacy only a front drive version. was a pretty good used car few issues traded it at over 200K

1987 Honda Prelude Si got it to replace previous car that was wreaked into. needed something quickly and cheap since I was back in school. that car was quick and cheap but ugly paint. sold it to cousin for $400 3 years later.

1990 Nissan Maxima loved that car at the time was a 5 speed and was a fast sedan. had flashy drug dealer wheels and I got it cheap at dealer auction that my boss got me into. was crashed into after 18 months and I made some cash on it.

1988 Isuzu I-Mark bought it for $800. found it in a classified ad. front end looked rough and it needed painted but had only 65k. I had it for 5 years. never painted it. rebult the carb several times and replaced the head gasket. I deliveded so many pizzas in that thing I can't believe I got so much from an $800 car.

1984 ford escort I totaled it
1984 ford escort got rear ended
1976 dodge aspen was my grand parents then my parents car then mine. I hated it but it was my first car. that one got rear ended too. looking back that car was the perfect first car and wasn't as bad as i made it out to be

I had a 1991 Honda Accord 5 speed manual. Had to get rid of it because it started overheating. But I loved that thing

Nothing. It's my first vehicle and it's lasted for two years of high school and three years of college. It's just starting to show its' age now.

My KJ is MY first vehicle, but I drove my parents' '99 Ford Ranger for about 6 months, then graduated to our 5-speed Subaru Outback, then finally to my 5-speed KJ =D

We had a 01 Explorer Sport..leather/back seat climate control...one of the best cars we've owned thus far!!! We traded it in for the Libby..and yes very happy with the Libby !!!

ThunderbirdJunkie's dad had a '96 Exploder Sport, and ThunderbirdJunkie owned a '98 Exploder XLT 4 door 5.0 4x2 (cammed, ported heads, and nitrous) and (briefly) an '01 Exploder Eddie Bauer AWD 5.0.

The '01 met an untimely demise on the interstate when it decided the back end of a parked '98 Plymouth Voyager looked exceptionally tasty while we were traveling 70 or 75 miles per hour.

ThunderbirdJunkie then went on the hunt for another '96-01 Exploder with a 5.0 (2wd again, this time, for the MODZ and lolleriffic times of embarrassing ricers while towing a bass boat, but then thought "BOY, ThunderbirdJunkie would really like to take something off road once in a while...but something mild so the build up bug doesn't hit."

Started looking for another 1st gen Montero or Trooper, sales guy buddy at the stealership he worked for said "YO DAWG, we just had a 4x4 Liberty traded in"
"THAT AIN'T A REAL 4X4 BLAHBLAHBLAH"
Then we took one of the new ones on the lot for a *ahem* test-drive.
Bought the '02 with 50,228 on the clock for $9,600:cool:
This was in October '05. Book trade-in value was 15 (rotflmao)

I had a 1997 Ford Ranger that I drove for over 7 years. It was the first vehicle I ever owned that I actually wanted to own.

The KJ came about in a rather bad series of events... I had the Ranger, hubby had his blue Astro. He was in a 5-way accident with the Astro on I-90 - he was in the middle of the pack and got struck from behind, and pushed into the vehicle ahead of him. Insurance deemed the van a total loss, although it really didn't appear to be all that bad.

We always stagger car payments so that we don't have 2 vehicle loans going at the same time. He paid off the Astro with the money from the insurance after the accident, and (according to him) told me it was my turn to find a newer vehicle. I had test-driven a KJ a year or so earlier... along with an Escape ... out of boredom, and really liked the Libby. So, I bought my '02 in Feb. of '07. Aaron then drove the Ranger for a few months until he found his current Astro which he paid cash for.

I sold the Ranger to a friend - they still use it, and it's still running great. :D

Had a 98 cutlass. Had it for 28 days. Just finished cutting out all rust and repainting and new windshield. Hit and run totaled it and almost lost my life

Revival of a 6-year old thread. Is that a record? :D

I'm 66, so I've had a lot of vehicles over the years. My first was a 56 Buick Special. It wasn't very special, kinda beat up for only 10 years old at the time. I guess I couldn't expect much for only 75 bucks. I sold it back to the guy I bought it from for 50 bucks a year later.

My next vehicle wasn't actually mine, but no one else wanted to drive it - if you did, it meant you were volunteering to be a target (Vietnam 1968-1970).

When I got home, I bought a used Toyota and did some traveling. One day I took an acid trip and dropped it off at the dealer I got it from several months prior and 200 miles from home. I walked across the street and hitchhiked home. I hitchhiked everywhere for about a year, then got a 65 Falcon.

My next vehicle was a 1967 Jeep Pickup - my first work truck (interior work, drapes, wallpaper, flooring) and a hell of a lot of fun after work.

I had a long series of work type vehicles after that for about 35 years. Mostly vans, but a 4WD truck here and there. At one point, I had 3 vans (I had employees) and this fun ride, a 1965 Thunderbird.

Unfortunately, my lungs went bad and I had to start wearing oxygen 24/7. I carry a tank in a backpack and unless I am making a long trip, I keep it on even when driving. The Tbird seats don't recline, so I sold it and got me 2 different rides - one for short trips around town and the other to carry that ride with me and anything else I wanted to haul.

As I got more and more involved in landscape photography, the Chrysler T&C was taking a beating on some of those remote dirt roads. Last year, I bought my KJ. I've already share photos of it, so I won't add any here. I can fit my Segway into the back, along with all my photo gear, and get to most places I want. It will be even better after a lift and better tires, but that will take some $$$ and time before I can do that.

I have enjoyed all my rides over the years, no matter how short a time I had with them. I forgot to mention a few above, including a 70 Lincoln Mark III and a 73 Dodge Coronet, among others. I can't believe I've had so many cars and trucks.

Parents gave me a 1977 AMC Hornet sedan, 232 1bbl, full bench seat, original grasshopper green but had a horrible macco black paint job. Awesome car but only lasted me about 3 months before I was a dumb teenager and wrecked it, and I still hate that I did.

Then I inherited a 1986 s15 that was handed down threw the family, it was made out of two s10s and one s15 so I called it the s35, blew the rear end on it, didn't know that the drivetrain actually had 300k on it, I would have been nicer to it.

Then my father picked up a 86 Dodge D-150 318 with a auto, I swapped the 318 for a 360 with long tube headers custom dual exhaust. Loved the truck but it had 263k on it when I let it go because of rust and kinda wished I kept it and fixed the body.

Next was a 2003 Pontiac Grand Am GT, low option GT, no sunroof or leather, had that almost 8 years and put 110k of my own on it, got rid of it at 179k. it was a good car, a lot of the problems were from my abuse to it.

Now I have the 02 Libby

and for bikes, I started with my fathers 77 Triumph Bonneville 750

then bought a 89 Yamaha FZR600 that I redid

then went ahead and bought a 13 Triumph Daytona 675R brand new.

Vehicle before my KJ was a 1977 blue and white Ford F150 Ranger XLT. This truck was handed down to me from my grandparents and I still have it.
