hey, i know ive posted this like 4 times but its really ******* me off now. i installed my evic in my 02 sport and the evic is from a grand cherokee, dont know the year. ALL of the basic functions work (i.e. ECO, DTE, MPG) but NONE of the programable features work. i can toggle them on or off and nothing new happens when i lock/unlock my car. the low fuel, low wash, and opened doors will not display either. last week i moved my car with the rear gate and glass opened and suddenly the EVIC said LIFTGATE OPEN. can anyone please help me with suggestions. or is there anyone that succesfully install an evic into an 02 sport?

by the way, i think i must have mixed the fused b+ wire with the ignition on wire because i tried and tried to do the EVIC self scan and nothing happens, i just turn on my car and it displays temp.

I have an EVIC complete with TPM that I pulled from an 03 Cherokee. I don't need it because the temperature feature doesn't work on my 04 Libby. This weekend I'll try it in my Libby and see if the menu functions work.

Some of them are just weird, I've tried EVIC's from varying years and so far some of the features work and some don't, the most common one being the temp doesn't show up.

04Liberty said it right. Two EVICs with the same part number can behave differently in your Liberty if they were originally meant for other cars. My 02 Limited has an EVIC from a 300M in it. I bought it because of the tire pressure sensors. All the normal stuff works, but the "programmable" stuff (like flashing lights when locking doors, sounding horn with same, lights on with wipers, etc.) doesn't work. You got something I never got: it told you your lift gate was open. Mine will tell me either driver's door or passenger's door (not *which* passenger's door) but nothing for the gate because a 300M doesn't have one ;)
