Anyone ever stuck a hitch on the front of a KJ?

ah yeah... the bracket on the front was my brother's idea about 1 week after I got the KJ. It looked great until 2 years ago I got sandwiched and they bent and mess up the paint. Not my final look for the front so don't worry... just waiting on the funds and the right bumper!

Interesting...

I have the same vehicle. I assume you installed this yourself? Degree of difficulty? (How much plastic did you have to cut?) How did you attach the hitch? Where did you get the hitch?

Inquiring minds...

Southeast of disorder...
ThunderbirdJunkie thinks it's fairly obvious he didn't cut any plastic
I'll have to disagree. On the '05+ models the bumper facia sits lower so you have to cut it in the center to clear the receiver stub. He also took out the two recesses for the tow hooks on either side:

Now if you were talking about the light brackets that's a whole other story...

Hidden Hitch on my '05... definitely have to cut the center, no tow hooks on this one.

Still want to try pushing my trailer up my driveway... ;)

Ha, really? I thought it was a bit of a hack job, wish I could do it over again... but little details tend to bug me!

The diagonal cuts make it MUCH easier to access the hitch pin when I put the shackle in...
