looked at the jeep Australia website nothing but the fiat Chrysler site says it is for Australia should be getting letters in June when the parts come in. 2004 3.7 limited
I'll have to go look and see what mine look like on the 03... I don't have wiggly rear axle issues though, just a slight forwards/backwards clunk which I suspect is the upper control arm. I still have the Air Bag module recall open on mine....
online I just read this. Note: This recall is an expansion of recall 12V-085. Vehicles included in that campaign are not included in this recall. Sorry mine was done in 12V-085 which came out in March 2012
Just called my local dealer and they said there are no parts available, and I should receive a letter when they are... I guess they weren't bugging me before, but I'll take the new parts.
I bought my 2005 Jeep Cherokee KJ (Jeep Liberty in US) from a local used car sales company here in the UK about three weeks ago...I have not informed Jeep UK that I am the new owner, so surely they have no way of knowing where to send a letter informing me of a recall? How is this supposed to work?
Call a local UK Jeep Dealer give them the VIN # - will then show any outstanding re-calls. Can also check it online here: https://www.mopar.com/en-us/my-vehicle/recalls/search.html
I called Jeep's customer service live...their call centre is in Italy...and they said my Jeep is listed as uncompleted under this recall. So I rang my local Jeep dealer (Bishops in Guildford, Surrey) about it and I am waiting for them to get back to me.
I am amazed they havent recalled the upper panhard bar or watts link as well, mine looks like it will be failing soon, and the undercarriage has zero rust.. clearly made out of inferior steel and lousy paint seal on it.
i checked mine were done awhile ago but now there doing the same thing rear ends sways when i let off the gas.So i guess i have to pay for it know, that really sucks.
Im going to see if i can get mine done. Does it need to be through a dealer? Also, great Name "libbitybibbity"
If it's through the recall, the dealership will do it for free. Call with the VIN before you go and they can tell you if it's covered or not.
