Hello,
I have a 2007 Jeep Liberty where a rodent decided to chew threw my fuel supply line - the connection from the top of the fuel pump to the fuel line, about 18" long, curved back and forth. Mopar has discontinued the part. Local junk yards do not have any Liberties. I tried car-parts.com but am unclear on the correct name of the part (mopar part# 52128976AD (or ending in AC)) and saying "fuel supply" makes me think I am buying a pump and spending more money than I have to.
Anyone have tricks for attaining discontinued parts?
Anyone have the technical term for this piece?
Any advice is appreciated.
Thank you.

That happened to me this spring with the line in the engine compartment connecting the fuel line from the tank to the fuel rail. I was able to find that line at www.moparonlineparts.com. It's a different line, but I was seeing it as unavailable at other sites. Give it a shot if you haven't looked there already.

My plan if I couldn't find it was to cut out the damaged part and replace it with a steel line of the same interior diameter. Was was going to flare the ends then tighten the clamps down as much as possible. I don't know if that will work in your case. Good luck on getting it fixed.

I even checked Megazip as these are Cherokees globally. You are going to have to get a junkyard one on car-part.com or someone who is parting out. Check Facebook. The other option is getting some fuel line and taking out the damaged part and working in a new piece. "Fuel supply from pump tube" is the manufacturer's name for the part so I would contact any junkyards that you get a hit on and tell them directly what it is. It sounds like just a line- they should understand. You described where it goes and obviously it connects to the fuel pump area at the top of the tank so they should be able to find it. Search your VIN on https://www.moparpartsgiant.com/parts/mopar-tube-fuel-supply~52128976ad.html to see if there is some special reason for ad or ac if you are concerned, but someone on here posted that they change one letter every time they update a part and often they are the same as the old number part. Man I hate to see these parts getting harder to find.

Thanks both.
problem with splicing the supply tube is the darn rodent chewed thru the base of the quick disconnect. I guess I could get imaginative and try to replace the quick disconnect, but ran out of energy for it. No luck on either of those sites - thanks for supplying. Wife getting antsy bc it sat so long (and now taking up her cars spot in the garage) - wanted it gone (plan was to fix and sell it.). So unfortunately it was just picked up by the junk yard for scrap. Moving onto the next project....

I am sorry to hear this. But I know there comes a point. I am on the verge of buying an 07 because mine is at the garage and I do not know if they can get it fixed either. So frustrating. It is my daily and I want it back. It is hard as they become more obsolete, though they sold millions of them. Did you like yours? I know 07 was not as good a year as far as complaints go as the 04 but still that body design that I like. The seller says it was in California until this past year so no rust. A big plus. I just was not sure about the 07. And there is an 08 near me for sale too- more of the Cherokee/Patriot body style. I don't like it but it is running and mine is not. The price is good on both these.
